Fire-Drill{11:57 PM}
We took the lift down at 3.45pm when the fire-drill was scheduled at 4pm. Had coffee and toast before we
sashay to the assembly area.

More than half of the population did the same thing as we had. If there's a real fire, we'll be all dead. I don't even know how the fire-alarm sounds like and where is the nearest emergency exit.
Had a department outing/birthday celebration after work.

I'm really addicted to the tanghoon in chicken balls soup. That's the only dish i order whenever i patronise Thai Express. Clear soup with tasty chicken balls, steamed eggs and spring onions. Not forgetting the very filling rice, that smells different and nicer from those we eat at home. Try it some time. Strongly recommended by me.

Went to a pub at a nearby hotel after dinner. The 7 of us can really drink. Look at the cups. From full to empty.

Count the cups. They are just some of the many we had.
In case you are wondering why there ain't any pictures of my colleagues, i guess i'll post them when i feel comfortable. I might or might not.

Air-borne?{11:57 PM}
Dinner with Gaston at Botak Jones! I've gotten into a western frenzy for this week. Burgers and potatoes.

I've got a fire-drill tomorrow and i'm contemplating if i should air-borne down from the 36th floor or take the easier way out by taking the lift down 15 minutes before the drill. The second option seems more viable though.

Glutton{11:57 PM}
I'm a super glutton.
This is what i had for lunch. Cheap abalone and shark's fin soup. $5.90 set meal.

Then i had buffet dinner at Conrad Hotel. My company booked the whole indoor restaurant for the event and this reminded me of the times when i was in Amex. Lots of angmohs. By the way, i saw 2 of my former bosses and surprisingly, they still remember me, a TEMP who worked with them.

I love the beef burgers, oysters, mussels and salmon sashimi! I'm a carnivore who loves raw food.

Desserts of the day!!!
Chocolates, chocolates and more chocolates!!! I'm going to fall sick tomorrow. Don't ever try green tea chocolates. I'm very sure that you will spit it out the moment you put inside your mouth. I did that within split second.

Quack Quack{11:57 PM}

A session at the Minds Cafe, which was organised by our dear Anqi.

I have always look forward to Fridays, a time to relax and bitch around. And of course, a day to go home late, without worrying about dark eye-rings the following day. Had my dinner while playing the game "Duck". Couldn't really multi-task when my stomach was rumbling. Hence, i sort of give up on the game so that i can enjoy my dinner. I know i'm a glutton.

"Duck" is actually a brainless game.
(I asked the waiter for a brainless game. Yes , i did.) We just have to follow the instructions on the cards and our ultimate goal is to eliminate all the opponents' ducks and be the last one standing. Yanru and i teamed up against Anqi and Jacinta, eliminated the both of them and started trying all means to eliminate each other. Try this game when you are really bored. I'm sure it'll brighten up your day, even though it's a silly game.

He goes "What?"{11:57 PM}
Work is pretty much the same, mandane. Met Gaston for dinner. We went all the way to East Coast Park for Carls Junior. The portion they serve still remains the same. Huge!
I think the East Coast's branch is the only one that has free-flow pickles, which happens to be my favorite. Thus, the main ingredient in my burger was pickles instead of meat. I had more than 10 slices of pickles with a whole small tub of mayonnaise. It's impossible to eat fast-food without mayonnaise.
Happened to be involved in a bicycle accident. We were walking on the zebra-crossing when i saw a cyclist traveling at a speed fast enough to send someone to the hospital. Gaston was walking in front of me and i went "Eh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", that fellow stood at the same place, turned and looked at me and go "What?". -_-"
Fortunately, the cyclist managed to stop in time, but the whole bicycle jerked forward and he was thrown head down.
(I saw the bicycle hit his crotch.) I thought that scene only happens in cartoon. Amazingly, he cycled off without yelling in pain. Cartoon?

Monday Blues{10:06 PM}
In 2 hours' time, it will be Monday.
Summary of wh0/what i've neglected this week:
1. My parents. (I throw temper whenever i have a bad day at work.)
2. A number of smses which i only reply the following day.
3. 2 missed calls, i was too tired to call back and didn't even bother to message.
4. Postponed 2 dinner appointments with the same person at the very last minute.
5. Myself
By the way, i'm hoping that i can exchange S$1 to Thai Baht $24. If Thai Baht really do depreciate to that extent, please call me. I will teleport to the money changer.
2 more hours.

Compromise?{11:57 PM}
Bowling day! I'm really bad at it. (There are supporting evidence.) It's been more than a year since i went bowling.

I kind of overstretched my wrist muscle.

The evidence. Shimin is really good at bowling. I was praying that my ball won't roll back when i let go. Thankfully, it didn't.

The score.
Nevertheless, i had a fun time. =) We went shopping, as usual, before meeting Laura.

The girl has been very busy since she started work. Working life is not as easy as i've thought. There are many things apart from daily routine work i have to deal with. And i'm only at the first stage of the working cycle. -_-"

Will we be able to have meet-ups like this often as we progress? Will we take the effort to meet up after a tiring day at work? How much are we willing to compromise? I've been replying smses with a one-word answer, late for dinner appointments (my friends are kind enough to wait for me) and constantly stoning during dinner. This is only the beginning. They said that people will change once they start working. How will i change?

I wonder.

Lucky day{11:57 PM}
I feel so lucky today! (Apart from getting lost at my attempt to find the building.) I was part of a focus group which was doing a field study on fresh graduates on the topic of "How relevant is the choice of your school and degree compared to the job that you are currently in". I don't think i can reveal any details but the session was very interactive and definitely enjoyable. They even provided free drinks and pizzas. Many thanks to Shimin who asked me along.

My incentive for 2 hours on a Saturday.

Shimin is really a bubble tea lover. Everywhere she goes, there will be a bubble tea with her. (It's hidden in the plastic bag in her pic)

I thought i won't be full with just 3 chicken balls and a plate of rice. It turned out that i couldn't even finish it. Perhaps i should have stuff all down my throat just now, so that my stomach won't be grumbling now. Hungry!

Only the second day{11:57 PM}

My lunch. A bowl of ramen that cost $16.5o. One that has satisfied my craving which i had for a year after i left Amex. I will most probably patronise it again when i feel richer. Feel.

Met up with dear Shimin after work. Crapped. Bitched. Whined. Sometimes, i wonder how we got so close in univeristy when we don't talk much back in JC.

Brought her to the hiding place and slacked for the whole night. Spent quite a sum there compared to my other visits to the hiding place. She spent, because she is happy. I spent because i am really unhappy.
It's only the second day.

Never Lasting{11:57 PM}
It's Friday~! The day i look forward to!
Went to the secret place and spent half the time torturing Kerr. I bet that there are patches of bald areas on both his legs now. Haha.

How i wish that this will not end, but i know, eventually it will. It has never lasted for long.

Hong Kong Cafe{11:57 PM}

Had dinner with the girls today at Hong Kong Cafe. Their service is one of the lousiest i ever had. Anqi and i ordered, told the waiter to serve the drinks first and hold the main course until Yanru arrives. Both of us ordered the same drink but the waiter only came with one. When i told another waiter that i had ordered 2 drinks, he said it's coming without checking. Purely patronising. Then, the waiter served the dishes when we were still short of one person.
My conversation with the waiter.
Me: Please serve it later.
Waiter: Why?
Me: We still have one more person.
Waiter: Why?
Me:
(Stunned for a moment.) Just serve it later.
Why?
Please refrain from stepping into Hong Kong Cafe. I know they serve pretty good milk tea, but i have found better. Ask me.
