Gaston's Birthday{11:57 PM}

Happy Birthday, year-end baby!

A small BBQ party with his friends.

Kerr, our chef for the night. The stuff he cooked were splendid, especially the beef. I'm not exactly a beef person, but the among all the barbequed food that night, beef is the best. And the funny-smelling mushroom. Haha.

Happy Birthday, Old Man.

Me to You Bear{11:57 PM}

Had dinner with dear Shimin at Central. I'm glad that we decided to be adventurous to go right up to the highest floor where we know that there will be pricey restaurants and found a not so expensive one along the way. If not we'll be stuck with Marche or Din Tai Fung; the usual restaurants. The dear girl kept bumping into friends when we were in Central. And her friends actually recognise me from Facebook.

Our finds along the way.

Thai food for the day! Wanted to have Phai Thai but changed it to "wok-fried chicken rice" instead. Wasn't feeling well the day before and didn't want to risk lying on the bed with a high fever for the new year. The food is good, but their service need some serious improvement. Perhaps the staff are overworked. They only have 3 servers in the entire restaurant.

Thai iced tea with milk. I'm been craving it since i'm back from Bangkok. Will be in search for good thai ice tea.

There was a exchange of xmas presents which we didn't plan for. Didn't take a photo of her with the present because Yours Truly did not wrap it. I had the thinking that wrapping paper will be thrown away after it has been opened, so why bother? Especially i had some trouble wrapping them. The presents i wrapped were horrible. Like wrapping a trapezium-shaped present. But i've realised that a present is only considered one if it's wrapped up. The joy and fun unwrapping is what makes a present. Will do that the next time round.

I've already found a place for the bear! My office!

Jacinta's Birthday{11:57 PM}

Celebrated Jacinta's birthday in advance. (Her birthday is on 1st January = New Year's Day)

Have you realised that the birthday cake is a photo of the four of us? A very pretty cake.

The remnants of it. I took "my head" because i didn't want the others to eat it and a quarter of my body is chopped off. Not pretty already lah. -_-".

Happy Birthday! Another one in 4 more months.

Arm Wrestling{10:13 PM}

Yanru and I tried this out last night. I lost to her. Flat. All of a sudden, she became really strong. Proven. It works. Try it if you don't believe me.

On a random note, i should drive more often. Getting rusty. I beat yellow lights twice when i should have stopped. Or perhaps that's Gaston's influence.

Xmas{11:57 PM}

It's Christmas! The Season of Giving. Yes. Giving. I'm so broke now. This special day has set me back by $300. I'm in a state of poverty.

Did something really stupid in office today. We had a gift exchange and i received something that doesn't have much use to me. I couldn't hide my disappointment and blurt out "This must be a present from some married old auntie whose child doesn't want it and in turn gave it to me." I said that to the person who gave me. Crap.

Messaged Yanru that and she replied "Good Game". -_-" I'm a goner.

Went to Gaston's house for Christmas. It is like a Chinese New Year celebration with all the relatives.

His dad was a few thousand miles away on skype, so the big fellow was running around with the lappy, hopping from relative to relative. The wonders of modern technology, ability to bring people together.

Took a couple of shots before capturing the perfect one. Kerr! Next time bring your dslr! My umpteen reminder. Haha.

I think there were more than 6 log cakes.

The presents that Gaston gave me. 3 huge bags of presents! =)

A year supply of products.

The big fellow with the presents. Dying to open them.

And there he goes, ripping them off. I've forgotten to take a photo of his presents.

Avatar was next on the Christmas-to-do list. We booked 6 tickets for the movie and 3 of them back out at the last minute. Threesome at 1.20am show. The graphics were nice but the storyline is a little draggy for me. Perhaps i was a little stoned at that time.

Summary of the show:
Guy gets into the enemy zone, make friends with them, guy was betrayed by his alliance, fight war, gets the girl and happily ever after.

I guess i will give it a higher rating if i'm not that sleepy.

Tea and Kite{11:57 PM}

Another gathering organised by Yours Truly! We went to this really isolated place where we were able to brew our very own Chinese Tea.

Rose Tea was the pick of the day. I'm totally in love with it! It doesn't cause insomnia compared to the black tea which i usually drink at home. And it tastes much nicer! I am 200% for floral tea!

Benefits of Rose Tea (Taken from HealthMad):

1. It clears toxins and heat from the body. As a result it has a cooling effect on the body.
2. It can relieve from sore throat, runny nose and blocked bronchial tubes
3. It is useful to people those prone to chest problems by fighting against infections
4. Rose tea helps to fight the infection in the digestive tract and re-establish the normal bacterial

population of the intestines
5. It relieves fluid retention and hastens the elimination of wastes through kidneys
6. It is a wonderful remedy for dysentery, diarrhea and gastro enteritis
7. It is a laxative. It works as a remedy for all liver problems including sluggishness and

constipation.
8. It cleanses the liver and gall bladder and promotes bile flow
9. Rose petal tea can be used to relieve uterine congestion causing pain and heavy periods. It is

an excellent remedy for irregular periods and infertility.
10.It has an uplifting effect on the nervous system and can relieve insomnia, depression and

fatigue.

Our demonstrater of the day.

There are 7 steps to brewing tea.

1. Use boiling water to clean the tea set.
2. Place the tea leaves in the teapot.
3. Wash the tea leaves by pouring boiling water into teapot and removing it immediately.
4. Time to brew the tea!
5. Soak the tea leaves for 30 seconds before pouring the tea to the tall cup. (The tall cup is the fragrant cup aka smelling cup.)
6. Transfer the tea to the normal tea cup. Rub the fragrant cup a few times before putting it to your nose and enjoy the lingering smell of rose tea.
7. Drink the tea!

I just throw a tea sachet into my cup and pour hot water over it when i am at home or office.

Our dear Yanru trying it out. The teapot that contains boiling water is really heavy.

Some snacks to go along. Peanuts, cookies in different tea flavours and of course, tea eggs. They are boiled in tea leaves and chinese herbs for at least 8 hours before they are served. I've always like them when i was a little kid.

Got a free gingerbread man from them because i spent the most there. Bought pu-er for my dad. $22 for 14 grams. -_-" Doesn't taste expectionally nice though.

Will be scouting for more chilling places for our meet-ups.

Went for kite-flying after the tea session.

The sky was already darkening when i reached. Thus, we decided to have a picnic in Gaston's car. There was a drive-through just beside the field, how convenient.

The place was quite crowded.

Count the number of kites!

I think Kerr was posing for me. Pretending not to look at the camera.

Their kites!

Audrey's kite. $50 for one. Expensive!!!

When you are really tired of standing up and holding the reel, feel free to sit down.

More kite flying sessions to come if we don't get bored of it.

Kite Flying{11:57 PM}

Went kite flying after work on a Thursay night. How random can we get? Haha.

Gaston's kite costs $25 whereas Kerr's kite costs $50. Darn expensive right? I used to play with 2 dollars paper kite which comes with white thread and had the same fun.

Introduction of the random people.

Girly Hello Kitty. Suffered under his hands.

A video of Gaston fixing his kite.

Posing.

For the first time in history, i witnessed Kerr run. Yes, with both legs. This is amazing because Gaston and Kerr share the same thinking; a driver shouldn't walk more than 100 metres from where he parks the car. -_-" Anyway, Gaston was the hero of the night. He managed to get both kites up in the air.

Kerr finding the direction of the wind.

Kerr who is shagged from running.

And the rest of us who made use of the time to take photos.
