First day of work in Year 2010.
Had a hard time trying to wake up. Usually, i don't have the habit of "snoozing" when the alarm clock rings, but i did that twice today. Long holidays always leave me in a lazy mood. I thought that i would reach pretty late but there were a whole lot of others who were much later than me.
Should have taken my own sweet time to get ready.
Attended the "Kagami Biraki" ceremony at Suntec.
From Wiki :Kagami Biraki is a Japanese traditional ceremony which is generally the first important event of the year after New Year Day. It refers to the opening of a Kagami mochi, or to the opening of a cask of Sake at a party or ceremony.Basically, this ceremony involves our company's President giving a speech in very thick Japanese accent which i can't make out what he's trying to say and smashing the wooden lid covering the whole tub of Sake.

The wooden cup. Somehow, i'm addicted to the smell of wood mixed with Sake. The cup smells really nice!

Free lunch for the day = working overtime
More than the hours i spent at lunch.
Signing off. VeE
