Attended my cousin's wedding last evening. It's my first time witnessing a Christian wedding and i think this is the best i have ever been to.

There were lots of blessings from everyone. One thing that made their wedding different from others is that I could actually feel joy in their matrimony. Friends did not make fun of them like the usual weddings, where the groom has to do some dumb stuff on the stage.
(Like eating chocolates on the bride's cleavage.)They spoke of how happy they were for the couple while the groom told us how he and his friends planned the proposal and the 3 goods things the couple see in each other. It's simply so sweet. There isn't any alcohol served during the dinner and i think this is the reason why everyone is so well-behaved. Usual weddings would include scenes of the groom getting drunk when friends do toasting or rather force the groom to down a bottle of Martell.
The normal "Yum Seng" was subsituted by "God bless you, your family and your matrimony". I think this is more meaningful than the former where we had to drag our voices until we run out breath or until our faces turn red.
Another thing which is unique in this wedding is that the couple was really thankful for everyone and everything, like their parents, to those who attended and right to the receptionists. They had a list of names to thank which i think it lasted for about 30 minutes. There was even a powerpoint slide with the guest names to thank those who came. Amazingly sweet.

Anyway, i arrived at the hotel just early enough to take my nephew for a short walk around the pool. His name for the entire evening was "Handsome Boy". The little boy kind of pestered me to call him that. =) He was using the stones to form a picture of Kungfu Panda.

Please use your imagination.
Signing off. VeE
