It's a "spend your money" day for us. Yanru and Yours Truly decided to do our hair.


We did it at Chapter 2. Currently, they are having a 50% rebate for the next visit. In order to qualify for this rebate, we must first sign up their membership which costs $22. Yours Truly didn't sign up as i dun think i'll be going back there again.

Told my parents that i'll be dyeing my hair red before i went out of the house. And the two of them went "Are you mad?!" at the same time. My mum always have objections when i have the slightest intentions to dye my hair.

A simple example of how she objects:

I flipped to a page in the magazine, goes gaga over the hair colour of the model for a while before saying "Mummy, i dye this colour uh."

And this sparks the rattling.

"What you want to dye your hair?"

"Your hair already looks coloured without dyeing."

"Do you know that dye spoils your hair?"

"Why you want to spend money on this?"

What pisses me off totally is that my mum dyes her hair.

I haven't had a chance to rebel (grab my wallet and run to the salon to dye my hair) on this issue, because i don't have enough budget to do it. A session of dyeing, treatment and buying some haircare products will set me back like $500 for my hair length. I like my hair to be long and have been persistent in this even though there are some who said that i don't look good with such long hair. Personal preference.


Anyway, i went for treatment and temporary curls. One thing i have learnt from this session is to cover up my shoulders when i go to a salon. It's a little awkward when the guy hair stylist who is standing so close to me tries to clip a towel or apron around my neck.


Yanru who is getting some advice from her hairstylist. Dear girl asked him to guess how old are we and that guy had a long pause before saying early twenties. I bet he thought we are much older than he is.

I knew i look darn mature when i could get into a NC-16 show without anyone asking for my ic during the puchase of the tickets and entering of the cinema. I was 14 then.

Definitely early twenties.
