Something happened last night and it dawned on me this afternoon how dumb I've been all these while. Going to rearrange my priorities.
Family will be my first priority. Normally, I place them second and boyfriend first. I've realised that no matter what nasty things I've said to them, they are
always there for me. All along, they have been taken for granted. Silly me. I will try to put up with my mum and rebuke less. Or perhaps I should get out of her sight when she starts nagging.
Work and friends will come into the second place. I'll find a way to strike a balance between them. I guess that work will be a little weeny bit more important. But no worries, I will find time for friends. I'll definitely be there when my friends are going through a rough patch, having their wedding or a beer session (this one not definitely lah). You get the idea.
Boyfriend will come in the third place. It seems that I've been giving too much and getting not as much. I know there isn't a 50-50 equation in a relationship, but I reckon it's human to start counting what I've received after giving. I'm going to adopt a more self-centered and take-it-easy atttitude in a relationship. It's plain stupid to be fuming mad when he's out there enjoying and have already forgotten about his girlfriend. I guess for him, I'm also in the third place.
Friends before girlfriend. I can't help but keep comparing how he treats his friends and me. If his friends ask him to bring Silver out, he'd agree for sure. However, when it comes to me asking, he'd say it's troublesome to bring her out or the small car isn't at home. There are more examples but most probably it'll bore everyone who is reading this.
Simply can't help comparing.
I'm trying to figure out if this relationship is more of a habit than love or vice versa. Been thinking about this for some time.
I've no idea if a laid-back attitude will make things better, but at least I won't feel so bad. =)
Signing off. VeE
